2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide school management services (attendance, grades, communication)
• To send parent notifications about attendance, fees, and school events
• To generate reports for school administrators
• To improve our software and fix bugs

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We NEVER sell student or school data.

We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• With your consent: When you explicitly authorize sharing
• Service providers: Firebase (Google), payment processors, email services — all bound by strict confidentiality
• Legal requirements: To comply with court orders or legal investigations
• School administrators: Within your school as needed for operations

4. FERPA Compliance

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects student education records. We:

• Only share student data with authorized school officials
• Provide parents access to their child's records upon request
• Maintain records of data access for audit purposes
• Comply with school data deletion requests

5. COPPA Compliance

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) applies to students under 13. We:

• Collect only minimal information necessary for educational purposes
• Rely on schools to obtain parental consent for student accounts
• Do not market to children under 13
• Delete student data upon school request

We retain data as long as your school maintains an active account. Upon termination:

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. Schools are responsible for obtaining parental consent for student accounts. Parents may review or delete their child's information by contacting their school.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify schools of significant changes via email. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when changes were made.
